BANANA-APPLE SMOOTHIE 1 1 banana, peeled & cut into chunks ½ cup plain low fat yogurt ½ cup unsweetened applesauce ¼ cup low fat milk 1 Tbsp. Honey 2 Tbsp. Wheat germ Place banana, yogurt, applesauce, milk & honey in food processor or blender and process for 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Add the wheat germ & process for another 5-10 seconds or until thickened. Serves 2

BANANA-APPLE SMOOTHIE 2 1 container of yogurt (your choice of flavor) 1 banana peeled & cut into chunks 3/4 cup orange juice 2 Tbsp. Wheat germ Place yogurt, banana and orange juice in food processor or blender and process for 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Add the wheat germ & process for another 5-10 seconds or until thickened. Hint: you can add other fruit as well i.e. fresh or frozen strawberries.

CINNAMON PEACHY SHAKE 1 large peach ½ cup vanilla yogurt 1 tsp. Honey pinch of cinnamon 1 ice cube Peel, pit & quarter peach. Place all ingredients in blender & process till frothy. Pour into tall glass and serve.

CARROT SHAKE 2 medium size carrots, grated 1 cup vanilla yogurt ¼ cup orange juice 1 medium banana ¼ tsp. Vanilla extract 1 Tbsp. Wheat germ Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender and process until thick and frothy. Pour shake into tall glass and serve. Garnish with carrot stick. Makes 1 tall or 2 small servings.

FRUIT SMOOTHIE 1 container of yogurt any flavor ½ cup orange juice 2 tablespoons shredded dried coconut 2-3 kinds of fruit your choice, peaches, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, passion fruit. Mix all ingredients in blender for 10 seconds till smooth. Serves 1 tall or 2 small servings.

CREAMY CARIBBEAN SHAKE 1 –20 oz. Can crushed pineapple, drained 1 banana 1 cup skim milk or 1 container of french vanilla yogurt ½ teaspoon coconut extract or 2 tablespoons shredded coconut Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender and process until thick and frothy. Pour shake into tall glass and serve. Garnish with orange wedge. Makes 1 tall or 2 small servings.

ORANGE REFRESHER 1 cup orange juice 31/2 tbsp. Nonfat dry milk 3 ice cubes Place ¼ cup of orange juice, the milk & ice cubes in a blender and blend until frothy. Pour remaining ¾ cup orange juice into a tall glass. Top with the blender mixture and garnish with a mint sprig and orange slice if desired.

PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE 1 cup orange juice 1- 8oz. Can crushed pineapple, undrained 2 medium bananas 1 teaspoon honey 1-8oz. Plain yogurt 1 cup crushed ice Combine all ingredients except yogurt in blender. Process until smooth. Add yogurt and process until blended. Garnish with a pineapple stirrer. Serves 4
